Personality: Kay is the kind of person that is protective and secretive of her past, but more than willing to speak out if she has an opinion on something. She is very strong willed, loyal, and passionate. Kay tends to come off as hot headed and sarcasm comes as a language to her.
She likes sleeping in, cats, windy days, coffee, root beer, and all in all just being a plain pain in the butt. Yes, she enjoys this.
Kay does not enjoy being called by her first name, nosey people, know it alls, and studying for exams or doing exams themselves.
She also has an obsession with wizarding history and has found herself infatuated in studying the Malfoy line from two centuries ago.
Ability: Photokinesis - ability to manipulate light photons with her mind. Her ability is limited to how much light wave energy she has stored or has absorbed.
(Kay's eyes sometimes change with her mood - When she is angry she tends to unconsciously manipulate the light waves around her eyes, making them appear darker or black. )
History: Kay grew up as a normal American girl, well, for the most part. Her parents were both of magical abilities, though of the older age. Her father was a wizard, her mother a witch, but they didn't know that their daughter was a born mage. She had an older brother, though he was seemingly not affected in the same way that she was. She grew up in America until she was seven and her parents decided to move. So it was then that she waved good bye to her hometown of Kearns, Utah, of the USA and said hello to Dublin, Ireland.
Sure, Kay was already a girl, even at seven years old, that liked to handle herself and do things her way. Ireland kind of increased this personality in her. She was brought up at first as the American girl in her regular school. She hated how her parents liked to liveas muggles even though she knew she could easily make one of these sorry regular humans fall out of a window with out touching them.
As she grew up with her older brother, she quickly became noted to stand her ground in almost every situation, and her older brother, Andros, quickly took note. He wanted to take care of his sister so she wouldn't go down the wrong path and figured maybe a pet would help her. He bout her an F1 Savanah cat who she later named Oretarun, maybe for the purpose that no one could really pronounce it and found it annoying.
When Kay was eleven, her first year at ADSGMP, her brother vanished with out a trace. When she returned that summer before her second year her mother had practicaly broken down and her father was doing everything in his power to try and find her brother, but it was all coming up useless. For the next year of her year and a half she lived in a shadow, lacking her her education and in diet even as well.
It wasn't long before Kay had been diagnosed with anemia, or more specifically, iron deficiency anemia. Her sudden drop in diet, increase in stress and lack of ability in schoolastic abilities were small signs of this common blood disease. But Kay put it on her list of 'not so important things'. Her brother was her first priority.
When she was thirteen she and her parents were informed that her brother had been accused of attacking muggles and had become a werewolf. Kay made the decision to find her brother and defend his innocence. She thought it would take years, seeing as he had avoided everyone for so long, but in just three months she had her first encounter with Andros.
Her family was on their annual camping trip when Kay wandered off into the woods so she could find Oretarun. He had walked into the forest with out her and she hadn't seen him in an hour. When she was in the woods she was completely shocked (as an understatement) to find her brother sitting in a clearing in the forest as the sun was going down petting the large cat. He begged for Kay not to tell where he was at all and she did promise, but that was the end of their happy reunion.
Unfortuneatly it was a full moon that night and her brother transformed against his will and attacked his sister. Once again, he vanished. Luckily Oretarun was able to alert her parents because of his and Kay's strong emotional bond and his feline instincts and she was found just in the nic of time. Kay got away with her life, only a scar on her back as the reminder.
Despite the attack, she since then devoted her life to finding her brother and defending his innocence at all costs.
