Personality: Felix is quirky, to say the least. He has an out-of-control addiction to coffee, and, though he hates to admit it, catnip can put him in a daze for several minutes. He has an adventurous side, though he tends to be the more logical of the pair he and Elena make up. Felix also has a rather odd hobby of tinkering with muggle objects and making magical improvements upon them. He sometimes forgets himself and makes comments that only make sense to him, but those who have been around him long enough get used to it. While perhaps his greatest love in life is art, and the creation of it, he also enjoys swimming and running as a pastime, and often ventures out into the forest in order to clear his head. He also has a fondness for potion-making and reading.

History: Felix's father, Christopher, came from a distinguished pureblood family, while his mother, Amalie, was a muggle-born. During his early years, Felix mostly lived in the wizarding world, with occasional trips to visit his muggle grandparents. During one of these trips, when Felix was eight, he and his mother were in a car accident. His mother died before they reached the hospital, while Felix survived with only a couple of long scars down his back to show for it.
After Amalie's death, Christopher became very distant and withdrawn, moving them completely into the wizarding world and cutting off ties with Felix's muggle relations. Christopher threw himself into his work at the Ministry of Magic, with little time for Felix. Felix had been very close to his mother, who had been an artist and had nourished a love for art in Felix as well. After his mother's death, Felix kept some of his mother's paintings, though his father would never abide by seeing any of them displayed. Truth be told, Felix didn't want them on display either - it would only reopen old wounds. he still occasionally takes the paintings out and looks at them, but always wraps them back up and puts them away again.
When he was of age, Felix was sent to Hogwarts for schooling. He was sorted into Slytherin, where he had several loyal friends, but nobody he was particularly close to - until third year, when he met Elena. Despite the fact that she was in Gryffindor, the two quickly formed a bond, which would continue throughout the rest of their years together. Early in their fifth year, Elena accidentally set some plants in the gardens on fire, and was transferred to ADSGMP, much to Felix's dismay. It was a couple of months after this when Felix went through his first transformation. At first he thought he was going insane and hallucinating, but after the fact, when he changed back into human form, he figured out what had happened. He had heard about shapeshifters, after all, though they weren't exactly common compared to werewolves, which were another thing entirely.
For a few months, Felix struggled on his own with his strange new ability, trying to reconcile the strange, animal impulses with his human identity. Finally, when he got into a fight with another student and sprouted claws from his fingertips, Felix was discovered and shipped off to ADSGMP - which, he realized, wasn't such a loss really, because it meant he would be reunited with his best friend, even if it meant leaving the school he knew and had grown fond of.
Currently, Felix is in a bit of a struggle with his sexual identity. He's had girlfriends in the past, and that was fine, but there was never any real spark with them. He's in utter denial at the moment about his attraction to men, but there's only so long that one can lie to themselves.
