The reason Alex had returned to school again was that he needed a potion. In a ministry raid on a dark artifacts store he was on the receiving end of a curse. By the looks of it, it was a simple paralysis curse but the healers at St. Mungo's couldn't cure it as there head of potions was away. So his old school was the only place he thought he could go to. He really hoped the potions master was good at his job as he enjoyed having the feeling in his left arm.
He still remembered the way down to the dungeons from his potion lessons at the school. Knocking twice on the door he waited with his lame arm hanging uselessly by his side. The guy they had arrested had been selling cursed items illegally. Some may have even reached the hands of children by now, he shuddered at the thought. Looking over his bad arm again he noticed the bones seemed rather soft too and was worried he would need a batch of Skelegrow too. I hate that stuff he shuddered.

Aldrich heard someone knocking on the door and sighed he had been studying a very rare plants guts to see how it could be used in regenerative potions, and no god damned student was supposed to come at this hour.
Aldrich pushed his office chair away from the table, it was quite nice actually, he had bought it on his last trip in London, you sat very comfortable in it, and in his age, being comfortable was important, since the spine couldn´t take as much as it used to, or at least that had been the excuse he had used to buy it. He got up from the chair, and walked over to the door, and opened it. “Yes?” Aldrich asked, though he was slightly surprised that it wasn´t a student, he was certain that it had been a student coming to beg for a better grade, he did that from time to time, held random tests, just to make sure that the students knew exactly how stupid they were, yeah it was evil, but if he didn´t the students would be slacking off. It was a necessary evil.
“Can I help you?” Aldrich asked the guy that were standing outside the room, of course he wasn´t going to invite him in just yet, since he hadn´t stated his buisness, he was simply being precocious for all he knew this guy could be a thief, maybe even a death eater that had come to steal his potions, so it was a reasonable suspicion.

Alex was almost pleased to see a reaction of suspicion. All too often he saw people ready to invite him in before showing his identification and yet they wondered why their guests seemed to steal things. "I am sorry to bother you professor. I'm Alex Brent, relax your not in trouble." he joked. "I however am in a spot of bother. In a ministry raid i took a nasty hit to my arm. As you can see..." His arm dangled loosely. "It's paralyzed and the head potion master at St. Mungo's was away. I realize i shouldn't ask but I'd appreciate any help." Alex explained as well as he could.
If the man couldn't, or wouldn't, help he really was in trouble. It felt like one of those curses that strengthened with time. He was also beginning to lose control of his shoulder and remaining calm was becoming difficult. He could feel the man was both annoyed at the interruption and surprised. This wasn't normally a receptive response. "It feels like its spreading the longer I'm effected so if you could give me any help I'd really appreciate it." He again asked for help.

Not even one trace Aldrich thinking that was funny, could be felt from him, Aldrich wasn´t one to think things like that was funny. Aldrich just looked at the guy, so it was an aurora, Aldrich didn´t like to have badges inside his most sacred area; this room was meant to scare the students, not to help some stranger asking for it.

Aldrich nodded, it was an aurora after all, if he declines to give him help, it would put him in a bad spot. “Come on in then, I might be able to make something.” Aldrich said, as he walked in, and allowed the other guy in. Without asking further questions, he began to search for some things, his feelings showed extreme irritations’ of having to waste precious ingredients on an aurora that can´t even protect himself from a simple curse.

Alex was definitely getting some bad emotions setting of an inside alarm. If he was a suspect he'd have drawn his wand by now for protection. The man was annoyed that he intruded so rudely upon his time. "I was blocking a curse aimed at a colleague and wasn't watching my own back." He told the man, a little stung by a small amount of contempt he could feel. Regaining composure he took on the most serious stance he could with one arm dangling by his side. "I wouldn't normally intrude with so little notice but it was necessary." Alex tried to explain again.
Standing up still, he was afraid of asking for a seat, he took in the room as subtly as he could. Very like the room he was taught in. Down to the musty air that made students dread entering the room. He wasn't a student anymore though. He was an auroa. It was difficult to act professional however in his current state.

"I was blocking a curse aimed at a colleague and wasn't watching my own back…I wouldn't normally intrude with so little notice but it was necessary."
Aldrich could feel no lies coming from this man, this just made him more annoyed, self sacrifice wasn´t one of the things he liked too much, since he believed if the person wasn´t strong enough to take care of him, why should he? “I guess you wouldn´t.” Aldrich said, as he finally found all the things needed, and walked over to a cauldron and placed the things besides it.
“Take a seat, wouldn´t wants you to fall over and mess up the floor.” Aldrich said with an evil grind on his face, this guy hadn´t caught him at a lucky time, and would most likely have to take allot of bad things from Aldrich, before he would leave. Aldrich began to slowly, but steadily na securely prepare the different herbs, liquids and other things that were needed for an antidote for this curse, it wouldn´t be one that would taste good, but Aldrich didn´t care, if he couldn´t handle bad taste, then he certainly wasn´t even worth using the potion on, he could be the best spell caster in the world, but if he couldn´t take a simple potion, then he was no better gone, out of buisness, Aldrich didn´t like the art of spell casting as much as potion brewing, making potions needed more finesse, more control, it was the ultimate art if you asked Aldrich, just too bad it had to be wasted one people who couldn´t watch their backs.
