Shideh had decided to come out with a few of her friends tonight, one of her guy friends had become late and justified it by telling her all about the girl he met while shopping. Shideh hadn't expected to feel so jealous, she hadn't been with a man in such a long time, fifteen years to be precise. There she was, with a few friends out in London, the city of parties. Her and her friends had decided to sit at the bar and spill secrets rather than get out and dance, there wasn't anyone around that she'd waste her time talking to and her friends soon became a bore. After some time she excused herself, having barely had a glass of booze she complained of a headache to head away. It really had been a while since she went out, and the truth was there just wasn't any flair for it anymore. She almost felt old, though she was only fourty she had already dealt with the death of a husband.
She had to face it, she wasn't that young little girl that liked staying outside in tents anymore, nor was she that teenager that could handle parties and alcohol. Though her body hadn't suffered, weekly hikes made sure of that. Taking advantage of a fun English tradition she found a good place for fish and chips that was half an hour away from closing, she could eat in that time. It was only 7pm, but Shideh liked to get home before midnight so she could get up early in the morning, she had scheduled a trip to New Zealand for a couple of days. She felt like she was in the prime of her life, she wasn't sure why exactly she wanted to take up a teaching post for the school of gifted magical persons but it would be a good change in scenery, teaching the kids with stars in their eyes that life isn't some happy fairy tale. After tucking in some chips she wondered if she would go back home and lie in bed with her laptop on her knee, but too many guys talked to her these days and online dating just wasn't for her.
As she stuck her fork into a few chips and as she moved her fork to her shiny lips she saw a man enter, she put down her fork and took a sip of her diet cola, smiling when he looked at her.

Aldrich entered the little Fish and Chips place, even though this wasn´t the healthiest of food, he enjoyed it greatly, every time he was in London, he made sure that he always got it at least one time, while he were there.
This time he seemed to be particularly lucky with his choice of place, first he looked at an astonishing beautiful woman, then as he ordered, he got an especially tasty big order, it seemed that the guy that had made it, had forgotten to see how much he put on. He looked over at the woman again, Should he? Or should he not? Was she worth the effort? Certainly Aldrich had a little inner battle before deciding that it couldn´t harm to try.
He walked casually over and took a seat besides her, allowing her to still feel private, yet also in the company of another person. “So, why is such a beautiful lady as you, all alone out here?” He asked, as he smiled slightly at her, of course it wasn´t a serious attempt at flirting, heck it might not even be an attempt, Aldrich could just as well just be very polite, which he probably were, being polite towards his students wasn´t a thing he wanted to be, nor cared about. But he put great pride in being polite towards good looking women, as long as he didn´t know them beforehand.

Shideh let out a small appreciative giggle, she hadn't been approached by a man directly for years, but Shideh wasn't one to dwell on the past, certain things in life you just couldn't change. "Brad Pitt wasn't available" she taunted in response. She crossed her smooth pale legs under the table, shuffling comfortably closer, liking the attention. Looking at him through her dark thick lashes, her fingers laid her fork against her plate, focusing solely on him.
When she picked it up again she took a bite from her delectable chicken covered in white wine and cream sauce, even in a rundown chip shop she had to order the most expensive thing, it was her way of taking advantage of the money she earned as a lyricist. Her pay varied from week to week, which was why she wanted to get into teaching, a far more fixed pay check, and paying for gas in her cute yet classic Citroen wasn't cheap. Especially with the whole flying thing, she wasn't sure the people in London would quite understand that she had a flying car.
She felt quite lucky to be in the presence of such a handsome man, after all with all the kids smoking weed in London it was barely tolerable sometimes. "And how are you alone on a night like this?" she purred, her voice as smooth as velvet, he looked nothing like the men that had tried to hit on her back in Dubai, she had forgotten how charming men from her home could be. He looked like things were so easy for him, she wondered if he worked in business, he had that firm expression that she was flattered to find had loosened since he'd spotted her.

"Brad Pitt wasn't available"
"How lucky for me." Aldrich said, though trying to silence a little laughter, though it was hard, since this woman was perfect and had humor, a rare combination nowadays, with all the oh so happy free sex that only helped spread diseases, not that he minded reproduction at all, he just thought that it should be serious, and not just on night stands, for what fun where they in the end? When you had no idea who the girl you slept with was.
He ate some of his chips, while awaiting something, the question, he knew it would come, he just had to give it time, and he had lots of time, Meanwhile while he ate, he also took the freedom of carefully inspecting how she looked, she didn´t look over the 20, yet she behaved so differently.
"And how are you alone on a night like this?"
Her voice, very smooth, Aldrich liked that, to him it was an obvious sign of her accepting and at least liking the attention he gave her. "Well, was actually only out to get some fish and chips, but seems like I got so much more.” Aldrich said, and obvious reference to her stunning beauty, it had been sometime since he had taken younger girls; they had to be handled differently than older more experienced women. It was certainly exiting to be back in the field of flirting, it was a very hard game, and it took lots of concentration to avoid sayings that could be considered wrong, it was like making potions, you had to do it with as much heart in it as possible.

By now it was obvious he was hitting on her, and Shideh dared to admit that she was loving every moment of it. She smiled at him, "So may I know the name of my charmer?" she rested her chin against the palm of her hand flirtaciously. He was a real fresh air to her, she had thought she had left all the good men in Seattle. Once she finished her meal and they had sat comfortably for a good ten minutes Shideh began feeling slightly brave, "would you like to go?" she asked with a slight bounce in her eyebrows. Besides she was dying to get back to her apartment, the shoes she had decided to wear were killing her. Thinking of spending more time with him though was also tempting, she didn't know whether to tell him goodnight or take him out somewhere.
Her soul was flying everywhere tonight, and this was after not buying barely any drinks. As they walked she was in a perpetual state of bleakness, knowing that the flirting had been fun but there was that silent question between them that asked 'where is this leading'. She was moving on, living life after the death of her husband, and she was ready for another relationship, but men that jump into flirting with women as soon as they notice them doesn't tell a good sign. With a black suit and a stunning red tie this man would be the sexiest thing alive though, she had to admit that. She gave him a small smile, trying to draw his attention to her any way she could with her body language. For the first time in a long time it felt like somebody had her undivided attention.
She decided since a small sip of alcohol had hit her lips she would let him drive, assuming he had a car around here somewhere. If this offended him, he certainly didn't show it. It wasn't something Shideh thought she would ever deal with. Her skin felt hot as she dropped her hand for it to rest into his, feeling like it was the right time. "Are you having a good time?" she asked hopefully.

"So may I know the name of my charmer?"
“My name is Aldrich Abendroth.” Aldrich said, of course he was polite enough to give his full name, normally he would only have said, first or last name, not both, so the woman should praise herself lucky, she had at least gained some status with Aldrich, a thing which not many especially not his pupils had gotten.
"And what do people call a beauty like you?" He replied with a smile, since she knew his name, he might aswell ask for her name, it was only polite to do so.
"would you like to go?"
“Sure.” Aldrich said; since he was done eating, they could at least take a little walk, maybe even get to know each other a little bit, besides it was always fun walking around; maybe it was just because he was old, but sometimes walking was nice, especially with a pretty woman as Shideh. While they casually walked besides each other, Aldrich´s attention was at her, and solely at her, it would have been so without her body languet nearly screaming for his attention, but that made it just that much more satisfying to know that she wanted him to look at her.
He felt a warmth coming onto his hands, as her hands was dropped into his, for them to rest, she certainly had a good timing of the situation, a thing which gave more points in Aldrich’s book, funny, clever, beautiful, she seemed to have it all, what could a guy ever want more than a woman like her? He had certainly been lucky today.
"Are you having a good time?"
“Yes I am.” Aldrich said, as he smiled slightly at her question, for some reason he thought there were a deeper meaning to it, than just what the words made it sound like. “Are you having a good time?” He then asked back, he might as well ask her, since she asked him.

Shideh knew in her head that he was exhibiting rash and careless behaviour by acting upon a woman he'd only seen for seconds before he made his move, but her heart was telling her to take a chance. By walking with her not only was he exposing her to possible dangers that she didn't want to go into by showing an interest, but he was also taking the chance of being seen by some dodgy folks. Still, she felt the same jolt of excitement emerge within her that she felt the first time she was on a date with her husband. It wasn’t that he was featured in most of her thoughts, she was still excited about the nightlife, but a part of her was just curious to know what he was thinking. Though he liked the interest he was showing to her, so much that Shideh genuinely meant it when she replied "I am".
She looked out at the streets, her place wasn't here, but she wasn't sure right now where her life was going. She had a lot of life to choose from, none too glamourous, even with her father waiting for her call. Her father was the only man in her life right now, but he was a strict catholic that she couldn't stand, the sole reason she only went to church less than once a year. She felt less inclined to give him room now that he had accepted her hand, "but i need to get home, it's late" she looked at him apologetically, subjectively wondering if he would ask for an e-mail or phone number, she hated one-time meetings.
