It was a rainy, rather cloudy Saturday at the Albus Dumbledore School for Gifted Magical Persons - but, as usual the pool was open for students to swim in. Though not many chose to spend their time swimming, there was one Earth student that had come to the pool for a little swim. Many might think that only Water students tread here, but it was actually quite a popular spot for this young woman to make her daily rounds. Roxanne Taylor Locke always came by around this hour for a swim. She found that it relaxed her and also kept her fit, considering everything that was going on with her father and the stress he was under. She received letters from him every day. And even though she couldn't see his face or hear his voice, she could tell that there was something wrong.
Now, Roxie hated to know that her father was in any sort of pain... she was just that sort of person. She wanted to take it all for herself so he could be happy, which she was assuming hadn't happened since after her mother had left. But she also very well knew that it was impossible to leave the school - she needed to know more about her abilities and the people like her. And... if Roxie was being honest with herself, it gave her a rather lengthy break from all the paparazzi surrounding her and her father. There wasn't as much as there had been once upon a time, but somehow the press still managed to get pictures, interviews, and twisted articles.
So Roxanne chose to deal with it all in this manner. She slipped off the overshirt she'd been wearing, revealing the emerald green bikini she'd bought on a small vacation to America a year ago. She'd fallen in love with the thing, and had been wearing it ever since. Now, Roxie wasn't one who liked showing off her body - most boys and girls alike got the wrong idea when they spotted her in this bathing suit. No, Roxie wasn't like that. She simply enjoyed the feeling of water on her skin; a one-piece would restrain her ability to do that. So, here she was, wearing a green bikini about to slip into the pool.
She sat on the side of the pool for a moment, swinging her legs in and out of the cool water. The hot tub laid only a couple of yards away, but she wasn't in the mood for that right now. She wanted to swim a bit first, keep her muscles in shape. As her legs got used to the water, she then slid the rest of her body in. Roxanne treaded water for a moment, enjoying the sensation of being in the water itself. She loved to swim, and always had when she was a child.
Briefly, she ducked her head underwater and came back up and shook out her head like a cat might whenever it got wet. Lately, Roxie had been beginning to show signs of being a shape-shifter - she acted more like a cat than anything else these days. Anyone who knew her could tell that much.

Rainy days had never been Maria's favorites and this one was no exceptionbut she decided to take a walk to look around even if she didn't like the droplets of water that were now falling on her tanned skin.Having just arrived to that place she had to look around,at least to make sure that she wasn't going to get lost. Now,this would be a shameful thing, even more for a professor, even if she was just a new professor. So,she kept her walk.
As she walked Maria pulled further up the collar of her black leather coat that she wore on top of her black long sleeved shirt, her dark jeans and her, always so loyal, allstars keeping her legs and feet warms. Her hair was loose falling down on her shoulders and back.In the shadows it was almost impossible to see her for all the dark clothing she wore.
Walking by the pool with silent steps she spoted something moving. No,not something.Someone!A very crazy someone for swimming at a time like this.It wasn't really in her plans to bother the person or 'interrupt' their moment but now she was just standing by the side of the pool. Now,she took a few steps and stopped at the very edge of the pool, looked at the water and the to the person.A girl.
"Ain't it a little too cold to be swimming? It could be harmful for your health, you know?"
Maria said with her sweet voice and a smile as she lifted her head to look to the couldy sky with a few droplets of water almost falling on her black eyes.
