"Yeah," Adrian said as he hurried alongside Elena, "The headmistress' office should have the appropriate requirements." Adrian took a look around hoping to catch sight of Lupus. "Come on Lupus, don't be slouching on the job. We have to find him and warn him or they might catch him off his guard." Damn it Lupus! Where are you at? "Probably chasing of some random creature again," Adrian said gripping his wand nervously. "You can continue on if you want and notify the headmistress," He said to Elena, "I'm going to look for Lupus, he's got to be around here somewhere. Lumos," Adrian's wand shimmered with light.

"I'll look for him with you," Elena said stubbornly. "If they come after us, two of us stand a better chance against them than each of us alone."
As if on cue, there was a distant pop, and then the sound of two voices conversing in low tones. "Find them! They have heard too much already," the slimy voice - Hroth, the gravely voice had called him - ordered.
A new voice asked, "Do I need to be careful not to damage the goods?"
"Dead or alive, it matters not - just get them," Hroth said.
Elena cursed under her breath, then whispered, eyes searching the darkness around them for any sign of Lupus, "Where is that damnable wolf already?"

"I don't know but we better find him quick, wherever he is." The light from Adrian's wand went out covering them in darkness once again. "This way," Adrian said as he started off in a slighted direction of where they were formally going.
He could barely make out his surroundings in the darkness and the moon was mostly cut off from view. Only in certain spots did the moon shine through. He quickened his pace almost to a sprint. His darted from spot to spot hoping he would come across any kind of clue as to where Lupus would be. If Lupus heard them, which he probably did, would he confront them or head towards the school to warn the headmistress and Ministry? In which case we're probably going the wrong direction. Should we go to the school or head back? Adrian slowed to a stop. "Shit," he muttered out of frustration, "I don't know if we should go back or not. Lupus might be heading their way to confront them."

Elena darted quickly after Adrian, keeping her eyes trained on the ground so that she wouldn't trip over any exposed tree roots, and in turn expose them. However, this meant that she ran headlong into Adrian's back when he stopped, and with a small squeak of surprise that she would never admit to, had to grab onto his shoulder to keep from falling over. At Adrian's comment, she turned back around to look in the direction they just came, biting her lower lip as she thought frantically.
Her common sense quota really was up for the night anyway. "We can't leave him to go against them alone," she whispered. "He's not even in a state to defend himself really. He may have claws and teeth, but they have wands. And there's at least two of them, not counting whatever dementors they may or may not have brought with them."

"That is true, I wouldn't underestimate him however. He's quite vicious when he needs to be. However, the question is, is he smart enough to know that he should retreat to the school to warn others." Adrian shook his head in confusion, "I honestly don't know what he would do. No matter what, we're only wasting time. You wanna go back for him?"

Elena closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath, thinking, What would Felix do? He'd come up with a brilliant plan. My plans always go awry somehow - but we have to do something! Opening her eyes again, Elena said, "Okay - we'll go back. But we'll stay hidden as much as we can. We'll follow them, and watch and see if Lupus appears. If he doesn't, we make a quick getaway."
Without even waiting to see if Adrian agreed, Elena turned and began to head back towards the portal, taking a wide, circuitous path around, to avoid running into the people after them. She stopped suddenly, turning to Adrian, and said, "Disillusionment charms! It may not work all that well with them looking for us, but it may help in a pinch, make their eyes slide over us without really seeing us."

"Hmmm, that's quite the suggestion," Adrian said surprised by Elena's apparently sudden enlightenment. "Though I too doubt they will be all that affective against dementors and death eaters who, for the most part, know what we look like. Especially when one of us has vibrant pink hair and silver reflective pants on."
The sound of a howl in the distance caught Adrian's attention. "That's Lupus' warcry!" Adrian said as he dashed off in the direction of the noise. Soon after the howl the was the sound of a shrieking Death Eater and the deep rumbling growl of Lupus. Adrian pumped his legs as fast as he possibly could hoping he could get there before any of the other fiends got to him first.

"Though I too doubt they will be all that affective against dementors and death eaters who, for the most part, know what we look like. Especially when one of us has vibrant pink hair and silver reflective pants on."
Elena grimaced at that and nodded, conceding, "True." There was a reason Felix was the planner of the two of them - she always overlooked big holes in her ideas like that. "But then what--" she was cut off by Lupus's howl, and then didn't have to worry about what they were going to do, because the decision had been made for them.
Without hesitation, she began to run as fast as she could, following Adrian's form as they darted through the trees in the direction the howl had come from. As she ran, Elena mentally prodded her tiring power back to the surface, the air around her hands distorting slightly from the heat rising from them as her fire simmered there, not yet ignited, but waiting, ready.

Lupus' growls were getting gradually louder as Adrian darted around trees in his path. He pulled his cloak off as it was slowing him down and threw it onto the ground while he was still in stride. His breath was getting heavier with each pump of his leg. Hold on Lupus, he thought to himself as he cornered around a patch of clustered tree and stopped.
There he was! Lupus had one of the minion death eaters pinned down, and from the lazy movement it seemed the poor dark wizard was almost dead from blood loss. Adrian began to slowly walk up but stopped again, still out of sight as another death eater came dashing towards Lupus. Lupus made another deep rumbling growl and the death eater stopped in the midst of his tracks as he saw the mutilated figure underneath Lupus. "You won't be killing any more of my comrades," the death eater said pointing his wand at the beast.

Elena had to dodge around Adrian's cloak as it fell in her path, but paid it little heed, focusing on running, on getting to Lupus as fast as possible without falling on her face - that wouldn't be any help to him.
When they reached the clearing, Elena paused beside Adrian only briefly as she took in the scene, and then she was running again, dashing into the clearing. She flung out her wandless hand, and with a wordless yell, threw a condensed spear of fire at the Death Eater's wand, narrowing her focus to the wood of it, and pouring the fire out and out of her.
The nearly dead Death Eater that Lupus had pinned, and which Elena had dismissed, somehow seemed to manage to summon the strength to shoot a stunning spell at her, and exposed as she was, it hit her, freezing her muscles before she could even think a swear word. The fire from her hand cut off suddenly as she fell to the ground, immobilized.

Lupus suddenly dug into the pinned figure's throat and, with a crunching sound, ripped it out. Adrian looked away in disgust for only a split second before turning back to see the second death eater smother out the flames of his wand in his cloak. He looked as though he was about to cast a spell at Elena. Adrian purposely coughed and the death eater spun around startled. "You!" he shouted stunned for a second.
The man made a motion with his wand to attack Adrian in unison with "Avada Kedavra". The man looked down at his wand in shock, nothing happened. "Yeah, that tends to happen when your wand is burned to a crisp. Mobilicorpus," Adrian said swingin his wand to the left. The death eater was flung into a tree, knocking him unconscious.
"Well," Adrian said walking up to Elena and kneeling down by her side, "didn't I teach you to assess a situation before diving in to it?" He asked as he flicked his wand on top of her, casting a spell of innervation. Lupus chuckled a bit as he looked over at the two of them, "How kind of you guys to join me."

"Didn't I teach you to assess a situation before diving into it?"
Elena shot Adrian a glare - she could practically hear Felix snorting at his comment in her head - and sat up stiffly once released from the stunning spell by Adrian's ennervate. "I thought Lupus had the other one sorted."
Now that they finally had a moment to rest, without Death Eaters on their heels, Elena checked her lower arm to see if it was still bleeding. It had slowed to a sluggish flow, and Elena started trying to wipe away the blood that had smeared on her skin during their escape. She made a disgusted sound, and said, "Damn! Got some on my pants. That'll have to be charmed out, and I'm crap at hearth-spells." She looked over at Lupus and asked, "You alright? Did we at least get here in time to save your hide?"

"Whoah," Adrian said holding up his hands, "I was just kidding," he added with a chuckle. Adrian noticed Elana's bleeding as she commented about her pants, "You gonna be alright?"
"Save my hide?" Lupus said with a laugh, "I had it perfectly under control without you two interfering. And yes, I'm quite fine."
"Oh calm down," Adrian said to Lupus, "we have to get to school and warn the Ministry. There's still more out here along with dementors as well. We don't want to get stuck in an all out battle against impossible numbers."

Elena glanced back down at her arm, wrinkled her nose, and said, "Yeah, I'll be fine - it's not too deep. A healing spell from the mediwitches will do the trick. It's just very inconvenient. There are too many supes - er, my word for "supernaturals" - that could track me like this." She nodded to indicate Lupus. "Case in point."
She grinned a little bit at Lupus's comment and said lightly, "Sure you did, pup. We just wanted to be certain."
Taking a deep breath, Elena wiped her slightly bloodied hands off on her pants - they were going to need to be charmed clean anyway, it wasn't like it mattered any more - and stood up. "Right. Two-second break's over. We have to get moving again. We bringing sleepy-head over there with us? See what info he can give the Ministry?" She waved a hand at the unconscious Death Eater that Adrian had knocked against a tree.

Wrath stood atop one of the thick branches so silently that even the "pup" didn't detect her. She had been observing them for some time, even before they arrived on the scene. The younger one, Elena, she had been called by the man, was one of some remarkable talent. Wrath was intrigued by her power of destruction, spouting out the flames from her hand. She already was aware that the man had a similar ability of commanding intenses energy. She also had heard of him being the auror responsible for so many of the dead or captured order members. That "pup" however, was nothing special. Just some beast the Ministry hired to be the garbage disposal.
Adrian looked over at the man whom he had knocked unconscious, "Indeed we should. Any information we can get will be quite helpful." He held his wand in the man's direction, "mobilicorpus," he said and began walking back towards the school as the now moaning man floated behind him. "We better get there quick," he said looking back at the two, "before the dementors or death eaters find us."
Adrian turned his head back to look in front of himself and stopped. The man who had been floating behind dropped to the ground suddenly. For a second, Adrian stood frozen. His wand went flying out of his hand and into the ground. "Who are you?" Adrian asked his voice wavering slightly. "What the hell?" Lupus asked not able to see what was in front of Adrian. He began to run to Adrian's side but was swept of his feet and thrown backwards.
"I'm Wrath," a sultry voice of a woman said. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Adrian Minister Jr," the voice added and began to cackle. Adrian fell limp to the ground and only Wrath was left standing. She had clearly used the exact curse that the now dead death eater had used on Elena.

Elena began to follow Adrian, fighting off weariness from using her mage so much in such a short period of time. She'd rest when they got to the castle, she promised herself. Maybe the mediwitches would have a restorative tonic they could give her while they were spelling the cut on her arm shut.
When Adrian stopped short and dropped the floating Death Eater, Elena frowned and said, "Adrian? You alright?" She turned, having learned her lesson, and muttered, "Petrificus totalus," aiming her wand at the prone Death Eater. By the time she turned around, Adrian was dropping to the ground. She dove quickly and managed to get her hands under his shoulders before he reached the ground, breaking his fall, and let him down the rest of the way gently.
Standing back up, she glared at the woman standing there, and holding her wand straight out in front of her, pointed at the woman's heart. "You'd better back off, and quick, unless you want to end up like your pal back there."

"My pal?" Wrath repeated with a bit of a surprised voice, "Oh no, he's no pal of mine. I'd soon as let him die than to even think of looking at that pathetic death eater wannabe." With that she pointed her wand at the man she was mentioning, "avada kedavra." The death eater's body tensed up for a split second and then fell to rest.
As Adrian layed on the ground, still paralyzed, he observed Wrath carefully. She held her wand so gracefully that it seemed as if she was born with it part of her body. She was a true death eater, willingly killing one of her own like she was simply stepping on a bug. Indeed she may not of killed him if there was really no reason to, most likely she killed him to get rid of their only prisoner. Don't underestimate her Elena, Adrian shouted within his mind.

Elena clenched her jaw tightly when this "Wrath" person cast the killing curse on her own comrade, quickly reassessing the situation. Damn - there went their captive informant. And any possible leverage, though Wrath had just shown that this sort of leverage wouldn't work on her. Elena dared not take her eyes off of the woman long enough to cast an ennervate on Adrian - she and Lupus would have to deal with her themselves.
Ideally, their goal would be to capture Wrath in the now dead Death Eater's place, and get information out of her. However, even Elena could admit to herself that she was in no shape for an intense battle at the moment. Adrenaline dulled the throb of the cut in her arm, but it was still a distraction. She'd drawn on her fire so often in such a short period of time, that lethargy was starting to pull at her mind. They may just have to find a way to disable the woman and get out of there quickly.
In rapid succession, Elena incanted two spells, flicking her wand at the redhead. "Expelliarmus! Stupefy!"

Wrath grinned as the Elena casted two spells in succession. She flicked her wrist to left and right quickly as she simultaneously leapt backwards, deflecting them both. Lupus nearly dropped his jaw at the sight of the death eater landing with ease a good fifteen feet behind the spot from which she leapt. He suddenly took off in a dash straight at her.
"Stupid mutt," Wrath said making a flicking motion with her wand, Imperio. Lupus came to a sudden halt and turned around. Glaring at Elena, he snarled at her with his hair standing on end. His snout scrunched up his sharp dagger-like teeth were in full view. He dashed towards her at an unbelievable speed.

Quite colorful swears running through her mind at seeing her spells fail, Elena quickly flicked her wand at the oncoming wolf, uttering, "Locomotor Mortis!" If it hit, it would lock his legs, but not directly hurt him, until they could get him out of the influence of the Imperius curse. Then, turning her wand on the woman - who after seeing her move like that, she was sure had to be not entirely human, or even a mage herself - Elena tried again. "Stupefy!"
Without even waiting to see if the spell hit, hoping she'd at least bought herself a few seconds by forcing the woman to dodge, Elena turned to Adrian and quickly cast an ennervate on him. Even if she could manage to disable Wrath by herself, she couldn't carry or levitate Adrian behind her the whole way to the castle, at least not quickly enough for their purposes.
